I always loved to draw, ever since my childhood in the Bronx. My parents kept me supplied with a never-ending stream of crayons, paints and pencils as a young child, and as a teen, my favorite place was in the backyard, away from everyone, sketching pictures of everything “sixties".  My love of art carried me forward – or I carried it – to Hussian School of Art in Philadelphia. I studied commercial and fine art with a focus on graphic design and illustration. At the conclusion of my senior year, I was recruited by Hallmark Cards, Inc.  I packed up my little red, oil-burning Chevy Vega and moved to Kansas City, Missouri.  In the beautiful Hallmark Crown Center, I painted pictures of animals in hats and overalls and “Charmers” – little moppet-eyed characters (a hot Hallmark trend). After stints in Alaska and Ohio, I came back to New Jersey to raise my family and continued my education to receive a BA in psychology. I also worked as sole art director for a national house ware manufacturer, and later for a nationally-recognized camp outfitter. Throughout my career I’ve been an art director/graphic designer for print companies, graphic design firms and ad agencies, both on staff and freelance.  Over the years, the industry has evolved and I have remained  excited by all the developments in technology.  Today, I create projects from inception to commercial, print-ready art.  I love what I do!  Each project presents a challenge with an opportunity to progress through the creative process and deliver quality designs on time and within  budget.
